Tickets

So, I planned a little trip into London to buy my tickets and had an EPIC tour.

Popped into NZ House and spent what seemed like ages wrangling to find a decent priced ticket - eventually caught one for the 30th October. So that's it! I'm off just before the weather gets really nasty!!

Then I thought I'd pop up the 300 yards to Picadilly to pick up a few bits from Cotswolds. Then spotted the HUUUGE Waterstones across the road and thought it would be a good idea to try and find the really interesting book that the Prof who is interviewing me on Sunday wrote with the guy who writes the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency books. No, really, the book IS interesting. Not just reading it for buttering-up purposes.

Anyway, at that branch 'Computer says No'.

So I walked back towards Charing Cross and spotted another, smaller Waterstones and thought 'There's no harm in asking and it'll only take 5 minutes'. So, he found this book for me and told me it was hideously expensive........

In hardback, but only £20 in paper........

And we only have one copy in Europe at the moment..........

And it's in London.........

And it's at Gower Street Branch!! So off I trotted, back up the lovely Northern Line to buy this book.

Bearing in mind that an hour (max) to pop into London to buy a flight had now expanded to 2 and a half!!

Then home. Phew! It was supposed to be so easy!!
