So here I am in Auckland, knowing no-one and with no real contacts to meet up with until next week. Everything is very bright and shiny, and the sunlight seems stronger than back home. Might be the season, or might be because I've only had 3-4 hours of sleep in the last 36!
Wandering about the centre of the city at the moment - first impressions is more like the US than the UK. Something to do with the wide roads and quite sparse buildings... Found somewhere to buy the essentials - a paper; a phone-card; bread, bananas, peanut butter. Next stop is the Electronic Boutique where I might buy a Wii to assuage my loneliness.
Busy day tomorrow picking up the car and looking at possible houses. Next week I'll be able to write a proper post where I'm not paying by the minute.
Oh, and I've found somewhere to watch the rugby quarter finals :-D
Love, Will

From Emily and Ben:
Good luck Will with your first day in the office. Shame you can't talk about the rugby and England's glory, might be considered bad form seeing as New Zealand lost to France. Hope you're not too lonely and enjoying the Wii - how far have you got with Zelda? I understand from Kirsten that you've been driving! And going to the beach. I'm very jealous and having to contend with autumnal strolls in Maryon/Wilson park!
I've added some more bits and pieces to the leaving book - not too long till you'll see it when Kirsten flys over at end of the month.
Take care and keep blogging!
Lots of love Emily and Ben xxx
