Auckland update

As you might have guessed from the lack of emails, phone calls and blogging -- I've been busy. So here's the update on my life for the last two weeks.

So in two weeks, what have I got done? Well, I've found and rented a house, and bought a bed and a washing machine to put in it. Its a three bed bungalow with a bit of garden -- all very empty so far but I'm sure that will change when Kirsten gets here :-)

I've started work, and met alot of nice people. There's something going on most evenings here and I've played indoor soccer twice (no goals yet but this week the cheerleaders said I was 'amazing'!). I've also been to a driving range which was much more fun than I expected. And been out for drinks a few times and watched rugby.

Oh yes, and done some actual work -- at a big client, well outside my comfort zone, which is exactly the sort of stretch experience I was hoping for. The partner basically said "Right, I'm off abroad for a week. You've got that time to make yourself indispensable to the client." Going well so far!

This weekend I need to buy a car, move into the new house, buy a sofa and a TV (and a bin and maybe a table and some cooking gear and probably half a dozen other things that I won't think of till I try to use them).

So busy, a bit lonely, missing you all but getting on with things in a beautiful place.

Please do comment or email - it's nice whenever I hear from you guys.

Will

Hi Will

Really good to hear all your news! It's been lovely having Kirsten to stay with us, I've really enjoyed her company - even when she has man flu! - we watched V for Vendetta last night, great film. Thankfully she's getting better all the time and is off with her family. So Ben and I have some time to ourselves before I go to Prague with my sister - very excited, got taxi booked 0730! We're watching the rugby and it's France 3, Argentina 17 - could it be set for a great French come back?! Hoping to watch the final in Prague tomorrow - come on England!
Good luck with all the moving home preparations and thanks for blogging update. Glad you're busy and doing well.
ps. How's Zelda going?
Lots of love Emily
